An outstanding opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical and operational performance of the Medical, Surgical, and Rehabilitation units at a leading private hospital in Dubbo.
You’ll oversee the strategic and day-to-day management of nursing services, ensuring clinical excellence, safety, workforce capability, and a positive patient experience in a facility known for high-quality care, strong multidisciplinary teams, and modern infrastructure.

Provide strategic and operational leadership across clinical departments
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and accreditation
Lead workforce planning, recruitment, performance, and staff development
Drive clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
Collaborate with executive teams, physicians, and external stakeholders
Foster a culture of innovation, integrity, and continuous professional development
✓ AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
✓ Minimum 5+ years' senior management experience, preferably in private hospital settings
✓ Proven leadership in acute care, including Medical/Surgical and Rehabilitation
✓ Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation, and funding models
✓ Demonstrated success in leading teams, clinical excellence, and service delivery
✓ Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and strategic planning skills
✓ COVID-19 vaccination compliant, current Police Check, and WWCC
