There’s a clear need within Haematology, with patients already waiting to be seen and referral pathways in place. This means you won’t be starting from zero - you’ll be stepping into an established service with real demand from day one.
This could suit someone looking to pick up additional sessions alongside their current role, someone interested in short- to medium-term locum blocks, or someone considering a longer-term move into private practice who wants to try things out before committing.

What the Role Involves
A mix of clinic and ward work, depending on the site
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Stepping into an existing and active patient base
Being supported by experienced admin and operational teams, so you can focus on clinical care
Flexibility & Setup
Locum, VMO or permanent options available
Open to part-time or full-time commitments
Many doctors start with 2 days per week and build from there
3-month locum blocks, with potential to extend
Option for week-on / week-off rotations
Telehealth available
Travel and accommodation are provided to ensure a smooth and seamless placement
There’s also the option of a 12-month salaried role with a transition into a VMO model if you’re looking for a structured move into private work.

What You’ll Need
Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility) FRACP (or equivalent) in Haematology Eligibility for a Medicare provider number Ability to meet standard credentialing requirements Australian working rights, or a clear pathway to obtain these
